Talent Acquisition · AI · Systems

I build practical operating systems.

I’m Adam Bogren. My background is Talent Acquisition. My current work combines that expertise with AI, automation, data, and process design to improve decisions, reduce manual work, and make complex work easier to run.

01
Build what works. Improve what doesn’t.

Deliver. Measure. Learn. Improve. Repeat.

How I think

Operating problems are systems problems.

Most operating problems break down where priorities, data, process, technology, and decision-making stop lining up.

My Talent Acquisition work taught me to make those connections visible. Adam's AI Lab extends the same discipline into practical experiments: trustworthy inputs, clear ownership, useful automation, human judgment, and decisions people can explain.

Adam's AI Lab

Real problems. Practical solutions.

The lab is where I apply AI, automation, and systems thinking to work and everyday life challenges that actually matter. Status labels are deliberate: this is a record of progress, not a showroom of imaginary products.

01

Problem

A conventional application tracker records submissions, but loses the roles researched, rejected, closed, or repeatedly resurfaced.

02

System

Separate discovery, official-source verification, evaluation, decision, and learning into an auditable operating rhythm.

03

Evidence

The dashboard measures every verified opportunity and preserves the reason behind nearly every decision, not just applications.

04

Outcome

Less duplicated review, more consistent decisions, and a feedback loop that makes rejected opportunities useful data.

05

Next Iteration

Extend the same approach to AI-assisted candidate intelligence, thoughtful outreach preparation, and proactive relationship pipelines.

“Automation should increase authenticity, not replace it.”

Human judgment remains responsible for candidate relationships, context, outreach approval, and hiring decisions.

Working principleEvery result should improve the next decision.

Measure what happens, learn from it, and keep refining the system.

The problem
A resume can summarize outcomes, but it cannot fully show how someone thinks, builds, and learns.
System
Combine career evidence with transparent project notes in one durable, low-maintenance home on the web.
Next Iteration
Keep the operating evidence current and add deeper case studies as the work matures.

An AI-assisted workflow for finding, verifying, evaluating, and learning from job opportunities without handing judgment over to the machine.

The problem
A high-volume search creates noise, duplicated effort, and decisions that are hard to revisit.
System
Separate discovery, verification, evaluation, decision, and learning into an auditable operating rhythm.
Next Iteration
Continue improving selectivity, evidence quality, and unattended weekday execution.

Raspberry Pi AI Server

An always-on home platform for scheduled workflows, health checks, logging, and future privacy-conscious automations.

The problem
Useful automations should not require a laptop, illuminated monitors, or a person remembering to start them.
System
Move repeatable work into a small, reliable server with clear logs and graceful failure handling.
Next Iteration
Continue hardening reliability, strengthen failure notifications, and expand privacy-conscious automations.
Raspberry PiAutomationObservability

Built in the open, shared responsibly. Sensitive job-search, family, home-network, and security details stay private.

Career evidence

Talent Acquisition is the proving ground.

Three examples of building clarity, capability, and momentum in complex hiring environments. That work is the foundation beneath the lab.

01

Genus plc

From unreliable data to credible vacancy intelligence

Data governanceCross-functional alignmentOperating rhythm
The situation
Vacancy information was not reliable enough to guide recruiting priorities or support confident leadership decisions.
The work
Redesigned intake and validation, then established weekly reconciliation across HR, Finance, and site leaders. The workflow created shared ownership and a repeatable way to resolve discrepancies.
The result
Vacancy-data accuracy increased from 57% to 99% in one quarter, giving leaders a far stronger operating view.

Building Talent Acquisition through business change

Function buildingAcquisition integrationTeam leadership
The situation
A major business transition and the integration of six acquisitions created new demands for recruiting capacity, consistency, and coordination.
The work
Helped build the TA function while progressing from Manager to Director and strengthening team leadership, vendor workflows, systems coordination, materials, and business partnership.
The result
Scaled the TA team from 2 to 10 and created a more consistent recruiting foundation for a changing business.
03

Tractor Supply Company

Improving speed through process, systems, and coaching

Recruiting operationsTeam developmentATS transitions
The situation
A growing store organization needed recruiting operations that could keep pace without sacrificing consistency.
The work
Led and coached the recruiting team, strengthened sourcing practices, supported nationwide leadership hiring, and guided two ATS transitions.
The result
Improved team time to fill by 48% from 2015 to 2019 while building repeatable workflows recruiters could use.

Capabilities

Strategy that reaches the operating details.

I work across the seams where recruiting, finance, operations, HR, systems, and leadership all need to agree on what happens next.

01

TA strategy & operating models

Hiring priorities, recruiter capacity, service expectations, operating rhythms, and practical transformation roadmaps.

02

Recruiting data & analytics

Vacancy governance, data quality, source tracking, time-to-fill visibility, offer metrics, and business-facing reporting.

03

Structured hiring

Role intake, calibration, structured interviews, scoring, debriefs, and more defensible candidate evaluation.

04

Leadership & enablement

Recruiter coaching, hiring-manager expectations, stakeholder accountability, and executive communication.

05

Sourcing & market intelligence

Passive pipelines, competitor mapping, specialized search, university partnerships, and intentional agency use.

06

Systems & workflow

Experience across iCIMS, Dynamics 365, LinkedIn Recruiter, Power BI, ADP / Virtual Edge, and connected TA workflows.

Experience

Where I’ve contributed.

A career that began in third-party agency recruiting on straight commission, then expanded across corporate, production, technical, frontline, and leadership hiring. My work expanded from individual execution to function building and transformation.

About

People, systems, and business priorities.

I’ve spent my career helping organizations move from reactive recruiting toward a more disciplined way of hiring: reliable data, clear priorities, capable recruiters, accountable hiring managers, and decisions people can explain.

I value direct communication, practical solutions, and process that solves a real problem, not process theater.

Adam's AI Lab is a natural extension of that work: a place to test how AI and automation can support better operating systems while keeping evidence, privacy, and human accountability intact.

My operating principleBe the best today. How can we be better tomorrow?
